Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC) is pleased to announce an important partnership with IMD Health Global (IMD), a CloudMD Software & Services company focused on health education, to provide their resources on young adult cancers, as well as its prevention for healthcare providers, patients and their families on the IMD platform.
“We are excited about this partnership with IMD Health Global,” said Lesley Morrissey, Community Engagement Manager. “too many young adults are dealing with their cancer in isolation from those that truly understand. Our partnership with IMD will help spread the word of our programs so we can help even more young adults dealing with cancer in Canada.”
IMD Health is the largest digital health educational platform in Canada. IMD offers innovative technology that facilitates meaningful dialogue between healthcare professionals and patients inside the examination room, hospital bedsides, pharmacy consultations and during virtual consultations. IMD’s award-winning platform enables healthcare professionals to instantly access over 110,000 educational graphics, videos and resources at the point of care, across Canada.
“We are excited to collaborate with YACC in order to provide our clinicians, their patients, and their families with trusted information to support young adults with cancer,” said Alice Haidau, Medical Content Manager, IMD, citing the need for accurate, reliable health information on cancer, particularly given the shift toward digital tools incited by the pandemic and the use of the internet which often leads to misinformation.
Through a resource like IMD, full of user-friendly and visually appealing information, healthcare providers, their patients and families will gain a better understanding of the affects of cancer in young adults across Canada.
